Holiday Kapa Haka Practice!

On the last Friday of the school holidays these wonderful Tamariki gave up their own time to come and practice for the West Coast Kapa Haka Festival.  They are an outstanding group of children who have gone from strength to strength as the year has progressed.  Well  done to you all and keep up the great effort!

Wonderful Writing...

If I could fly... I would probably be a bird because humans aren't designed to fly!  So I would be a Toucan and I would soar over the tropical rainforests of Bolivia and swoop down, skimming my feathers on the glassy, surface of the Amazon.

Fun with Writing

We have been working with Heather who is a specialist Literacy teacher.  She is helping us work on our writing skills.  We had a lot of fun with this lesson!











Maths - Statistics

In Room 3 we have been learning about statistics.  We have been using Stem and Leaf graphs and Dot Plot graphs to display information.

Swimming!!!

Today at swimming Mrs Halsalls group were busy improving their breast stroke techniques while Mr Hart's group were learning about water safety.  We also had a relay at the end of the session to help us prepare for next week's swimming sports.  They are on Monday 22nd February starting at 9.30am at the Solid Energy Centre.
